Put the pigtail on the battery and have it at the passenger footpeg on the left side. Back from a ride, wipe the bike down, and plug it in before I head inside. Rob. 2009 Shadow Aero 750.

Remove the spark plug, then reattach the wire to the spark plug, rest the threads of the plug to a metal surface of the bike, and press the start button briefly, you should see the spark. Do not touch the plug while doing this. Repeat for each plug. Be sure that the plug is in a dark area also.
Great bike, I had to go to a 1300 for two up. 750 gets about 52 mpg average, my 1300 is getting about 35-42. Also, I ride in a lot of wind, the aero handles good in the wind. Weight distribution is low and handling is good. If your patient, you can get a good deal on one and sell a year later for the same price.
