Solution 3: 1. Right click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 in Steam Launcher; 2. Select "Launch with OpenGL"; 3. Let the game run and try going into game; 4. Exit the game and go back to steam, right click on Euro Truck Simulator 2 again but this time select "Launch with DirectX (64-Bit)";

The patch file could be made up of lots of little patches where it has to take a large file split it insert the new data and then remake the file. If it has to do that lots of times then it will take a while to update. This is only supposition as I do not know how the patch process works in real life. #1. tom Aug 17, 2021 @ 11:18am.
