The campaign is actually pretty good, but not as good as MW 2019. Our favorite characters from the original are back but portrayed in a cheesy, b-movie way that tries too hard to be badass. Other that, the story is actually really mature and try’s to be more “realistic” than over the top. Though, it can be polarizing.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) is a fine sequel that checks all of the boxes when it comes to a serviceable CoD campaign, good co-op options, and a super shiny competitive multiplayer that plays well enough for most.

At the end, Makarov is back, all the characters are alive and well and they are celebrated as the good guys. No black and white, TF141 is not disavowed, happiest ending possible. I can't say I'm excited for the next installment (story-wise). Gameplay in the campaign was fun, definitely an improvement from MW2019 apart from a couple of things:
